Our Purpose
Beyond the Dream Foundation is organized for charitable purposes, more specifically, to assist selected qualified students with scholarships, provide mentorship programs for the youth, and distribute holiday gifts for seniors, youths, and those in need. We also partner with other community based organizations that assist under-served populations. Our hope is through the spirit of collaboration we will reach as many citizens of our communities who simply need the demonstration of care.
The Beyond the Dream Foundation is a 501(c) (3) charity founded in November 2008, under the name of the Poughkeepsie Alumni Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation and in September 2013 changed its name to the Beyond the Dream Foundation.

It is with great pleasure that we, the members of the Beyond the Dream Foundation, welcome you to reach out to us throughout the course of the year. Without your support, we would not be able to provide scholarships to high school seniors from low income families. Some of you have supported this endeavor for several years. For that, we offer our humble and sincere appreciation.
This year, we will have our 15th Scholarship Gala. Due to the consistent provision of services to under privileged families, each year since its beginning in 1968 the men of the Poughkeepsie Alumni of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity has worked to support the community-at-large. The chapter subsequently founded the Beyond Dream Foundation in 2005.
I have been involved with community service for my entire adult life. Serving with these men, as they continually strive to improve the quality of life of hundreds of needy families in the Hudson Valley and Danbury Connecticut, is one of my most rewarding experiences. I thank my brothers for the honor of leading this meaningful charitable organization.
